A hot air balloon flight is breathtaking, and adventure on Atlas Montgolfière will stay in our memory forever. When you soar above the ground in the wind, and below in the first rays of the sun the enchanting Marrakech awakens. When the earth smoothly let you go and then accepts you. This is pure delight incomparable to anything.
But often the dream of the sky remains a dream, and all because of fears, the main one of which is to risk your own safety. But are they justified?
Down with stereotypes
Answer yourself honestly: what exactly are you afraid of when thinking about a hot air balloon flight? Among the main fears that the imagination of beginners draws for themselves are a fall, a burst balloon, loss of control.
In addition, many are afraid of Hot Air Balloon Ride almost to the ends of the earth, staying in the basket without food and water for days and nights, and flying until they are finally rescued. And the basket falling on its side during landing is sometimes frightening.
In fact, all this is just myths. Flying in a hot air balloon is safe, interesting, and easy!
Falling from a height
The design of the balloon itself excludes a fast fall. If the situation is emergency, it lands slower than a parachute – at a speed of up to 5 m/s. At the same time, an ordinary parachutist flies to the ground, developing a speed of at least 7 m/s. But the passengers of the balloon “meet” the ground incomparably more comfortably – they are flying inside the basket.
A hot air balloon simply cannot fall quickly. It has hot air inside, it cools down rather slowly – the average volume of a balloon of 3-6 thousand cubic meters is simply unrealistically cooled quickly, even in the most “non-flying” weather.
In Marrakech, safety comes first. Local pilots are certified specialists who constantly confirm and improve their qualifications. The equipment also undergoes a real technical inspection, and weather conditions are carefully taken into account and flights are never allowed even with the slightest doubt about safety.
