The best beaches in Panama

As you probably know already Panama has a lot of beaches. Some of them are better for diving, some for surfing while some of them are perfect for families with kids. Here is the list of the bets Panama beaches.

Aussie Pick

This beach lies on Cotadora Island. This is a beach is not a beach party like some others are. There is almost no traffic, you can go around in a golf car or a boat, or by walking. This is a perfect place to enjoy beautiful views. From this beach, there are organized tours for visiting some other nearby islands. On this beach, you can go snorkeling, fishing, diving, or just laid back in the sun. There are lots of great places to eat a fresh healthy meal. Cold fresh beer before sleeping is a must. Tomorrow does the same thing you’ve done a day earlier, spent a few days here, it’s a true blessing.

Bocas Town – Zapatilla Island

This beach is in Bocas Town, province Bocas del Toro, Panama’s Caribbean coast. It is one of the best beaches in Panama. The first thing you have to do when you arrive is to book a tour for outlying islands. Along coast many independent guides are offering tours, but if this is your first time you should book an official tour in some of the hotels, just to be sure. On this tour, you will probably stop at Zapatilla Island. You will spend about an hour in a boat before you reach this heavenly beach. It’s a small island, it will take you 30 minutes to walk around it. In the center of the island is a thick jungle and around the jungle is the ring of a white sand beach. There are no hotels, restaurants, shops – nothing, only you sand, jungle, beautiful blue sea and time you will remember for the rest of your life.

Isla Grande

When people are thinking about the Caribbean, they usually think about Bahamas or Jamaica. They are so wrong! Isla Grande is one of the biggest islands, nevertheless, you can walk around it in an hour. Getting there is quite easy, but it will take you up to three hours of driving to get there from Panama City. Your destination is a small town called La Guaira. From La Guaira to Isla Grande you will go in a wooden canoe, this is a short trip around 10 minutes. At Isla Grande, you will find probably the best beaches in Panama. This is a perfect place to experience real Caribbean life. The whole island smells just the way the Caribbean should smell. Here you can buy a beer for $0.50 and fried fish for a dollar. This is not a crowded beach, most of the visitors are locals. Great place to lay out your towel, buy a drink, chill out and chit-chat with your friends or locals.

These are all great beaches, but there are many more you can visit. Panama has so much to offer, if you go there you will have a great time for sure.
